clash of cultures and cultural values

On the one hand liberals criticize Bush's foreign policy for forcing American culture on people in foreign countries.  On the other hand, they are stunned that foreign people do not share American values. 

Liberals are so busy doing whatever they do and so busy congratulating themselves that they never try to learn anything about the culture of the people whom they are trying to exploit.
